GeForce RTX 4070 Ti
The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is the newest kid on the block from Nvidia’s 4000 series of graphics cards. Launched on the 3rd January 2023 and originally thought to be the ‘unlaunched’ 12GB RTX 4080, the RTX 4070 Ti is going to be the sweet spot for a lot of gamers and creators looking for a mix of performance, speed, and pricing.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is based on the Ampere architecture – the second generation of NVIDIA’s impressive RTX platform. Ideally suited to gamers and creators, the RTX 4070 Ti offers the latest in ray tracing technology which means gamers will be able to enjoy the most immersive gaming experience on the market.

Learn MoreRTX 4070 Ti Features
The RTX 4070 Ti features 240 texture mapping units, 80 ROPs, 240 tensor cores, and 7680 shading units. Operating at a frequency of 2310 MHz (which can be boosted up to 2610 MHz), the RTX 4070 Ti is going to tick a lot of boxes for a lot of different applications and gamers.
RTX 4070 Ti Capabilities
There's no other way to say it - the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is a beast of a graphics card. Featuring NVIDIA's Ada Lovelace architecture and new streaming multiprocessors that deliver up to 2x the performance and power efficiency of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series, the RTX 4070 Ti is set to become one of the most popular GPUs of 2023.
Featuring Fourth-Gen Tensor Cores that give you up to twice the AI performance, and Third-Gen RT Cores that give you up to 2x the ray tracing performance, the RTX 4070 Ti GPU is ready to handle anything you throw at it, whether you're looking to game, steam of create, the 4070 Ti is a worthy consideration for your next GPU upgrade.
As a reference point, with FPS locked to 90 in Cyberpunk 2077, the RTX 4070 Ti is the most efficient GPU. When locked to 4k Ultra Settings in Hitman 3, it has the same power consumption of the 3070 Ti – some food for thought.
RTX 4070 Ti vs. RTX 4080
The RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4080 are two of NVIDIA’s best graphics cards. Utilising the same Ampere architecture and latest GPU technology from NVIDIA, the RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4080 are designed to suit the demands gamers, streamers, and creators that are serious about performance – but there are some important differences that are worth noting.
The RTX 4070 Ti has a slightly lower boost clock speed than the RTX 4080. It also has fewer SMs, shaders, and ray tracing cores, which may result in slightly lower performance in games. On the other hand, the RTX 4080 has more VRAM and a wider VRAM bus, which may improve performance in games that require a lot of memory.
Both cards support real-time ray tracing, however, the RTX 4080 is able to handle ray tracing at higher resolutions or with more demanding settings due to its additional processing power.
The RTX 4080 is a better GPU – but that performance comes at a cost. Using the RTX spec sheet at the bottom of this page you can make an informed decision about which GPU is right for you and what sort of an upgrade in performance you can expect based on your current set up.
RTX 4070 Ti vs. RTX 3070 Ti
Choosing between the RTX 4070 Ti vs. RTX 3070 Ti? Here is what you need to know and how the two GPUs differ when it comes to performance and technology.
As you would expect, the RTX 4070 Ti is built on new architecture which has a larger die size and more transistors which means more power and performance when you need it most. The RTX 4070 Ti also boasts faster VRAM speed and has more SMs, shaders, Tesnor cares, and a larger L2 cache.
On the other hand, the RTX 3070 TI has a slightly higher rating for double precision floating calculations which should make it slightly better for certain tasks where accuracy is the name of the game. Of course, the RTX 3070 TI is also now quite a bit older than the RTX 4070 Ti which is reflected in a lower price point.
Choosing between the two? It really comes down to price and your intended usage. Refer to the spec sheet at the bottom of this page to make an informed decision.
